Front-runner Donald Trump is considered the favorite in Arizona, where his position on immigration — and promise to build an actual wall along the border — appears to be resonating with Republican voters. A big win there would give Trump all 58 delegates up for grabs in the state.
In Utah, the other GOP battleground of the night, Sen. Ted Cruz is hoping to score a win that will block Trump from picking up the state’s 40 delegates. Cruz has secured the backing of prominent politicians with ties to the state, including Gov. Gary Herbert and former presidential hopeful Mitt Romney. Ohio Gov. John Kasich is also vying for votes in both states, and, as The New York Times notes, it's possible that Sen. Marco Rubio picked up some support among early voters in Arizona before he suspended his campaign.
Results will start coming in as soon as polls close, and we’ll be updating here with the expected winners as they become clear. Ahead, catch up on the results from contests held so far. And be sure to check back to see which Republican candidate emerges the winner of the day.
