Although the final season hasn't aired yet, Girls has already started its long goodbye.

As the show prepares to wrap, Lena Dunham and fellow cast members are commemorating the bittersweet milestone on Instagram.

It's been an emotional roller coaster for Girls fans over the past couple months. Back in June, Dunham was teasing the upcoming season 6 plot twists on Insta. Then, in July, on-set snaps potentially contained spoilers regarding Hannah Horvath's forthcoming relationship status.

Now, anticipation has evolved into nostalgia and it's literally giving us all of the feels.

HBO hasn't announced its exact premiere date, but Girls ' final season is expected to air beginning January 2017.

These photos will get you ready for the show's final goodbye — and probably make you feel more than a little sad.

Hannah Horvath is reluctantly moving out, but she hasn't lost her signature sense of humor.

Lena Dunham posted this #endofGIRLS on-set snap with the ace caption, "Today on set I said the words 'I've got my fake nipples on and I'm ready to party!'"

Allison Williams' #tbt Girls photo left us sobbing. Addressing on- and off-screen bestie Lena Dunham, Williams wrote, "I don't want to go back to dancing on my own. Dancing with you is way more fun."

Us, too, Marnie. Us, too.

Oh, how we'll miss Shosh's rapid-fire monologues and whimsical hair choices.

Commemorating the wrap on filming, Zosia Mamet thanked HBO, the fans, and, of course, her Girls gang: "And that's a wrap. It has been an unforgettable 6 years. To my GIRLS family, I adore you."

Jessa is too cool for Instagram, obviously. Jemima Kirke tweeted a sentimental selfie instead, bidding her charmingly complicated Girls character a fond farewell.

"Bye Jessa," Kirke tweeted. "Thank you 4 all you've done for me. SEE YA ROUND MY LOVE X"

Dunham got in on the tearjerker #tbt action, as well, with some vintage Hannah and Marnie from 2010, two years before Girls debuted.

Same.
